The drinks here are pretty good. I usually get the Honey Green Milk Tea with Crystal Boba and 50% - 75% sweetness. I recommend getting the less sweet options because their 100% sweetness is pretty sweet. The service is usually pretty quick so you don't have to wait long. This place can also be a study spot if you need to study. There are both inside and outside seating as well. The place has a modern look to it as well. Overall, pretty good experience and will come back soon.

They have a promotion offering a $20 bonus gift card when you purchase a $100 gift card. The drinks were excellent, and the service was great.

But there seems to be a lack of communication amongst all staff members. Received an email regarding a tea traveler deal where you buy one and get one 10 dollars off so I thought it would be a great item to get for a Friendsgiving dinner. Called the store to place the order. Cashier has no idea what deal I'm talking about. I told him I received an email and the deal stated it was buy one get one 10 dollars off Keep in mind the email does not state when the deal expires. He sounds confused and says he would need to ask a supervisor. The supervisor says she would need to check and in 10 seconds states it's only for thanksgiving. I told her the deal just states the deal is for thanksgiving season and does not state just one single day. The deal even claims the promo is great for things such as Friendsgiving and company pot lucks and mentions it being for the thanksgiving season. Generally thanksgiving season is seen as the Sunday before thanksgiving to the Sunday after. This was a day after thanksgiving so I wasn't sure why every staff member was so hesitant to offer the deal. As the only lasting Au store you would think making an easy 60-90 dollar transaction would be a no brainer. We decided to order gallon drinks at tastea instead along with other beverages as the staff seemed certain of the deals and promos they had going on.

Au79 is one of my go to boba places whenever I'm in the area. I used to frequent the San Gabriel location but they closed down. My favorite drinks to get here is the passion fruit green tea or the honey green tea with egg pudding. During my most recent visit, I discovered they updated their menu and now have a new passion fruit green tea drink that is made with real passion fruit seeds. I tried it and it's more on the tart side compared to their old recipe. The seeds can also be annoying but I liked the drink and will definitely order it again.

This place used to be 5/5 for me, but after coming back I'd say one less star, I believe the tea isn't steeped enough or maybe my drink was just very watered down. I got an osmanthus milk tea, usually it's very fragrant and has good flavor but trying it again it's so bland. But the black sesame milk tea was yummy, so maybe it just depends what drink you get. I'd stick with the top ten posted on their wall! However the barista was nice enough to let me change my drink when we complained (ik I'm picky I'm sorry) , we got to replace the drink for another sesame MT since it was a lot better. The service is quick but I don't think the drink quality was as good as before. I will have to come back and try the same drink again to see if it's improved. They're so nice tho they still drew a cat on my replaced drink :3 the boba was on point tho! It's a super solid boba spot.

Au79 is one of my favorite boba spots in the SGV area. I use to go to the Rosemead location for the longest time, but they had closed and kept their Arcadia location. Although the Arcadia location is a bit far, I still find myself making the drive for a refreshing passion fruit GT w/ pink boba. I love the sweet/sourness of the passion fruit and then their boba is also soft and chewy (The perfect texture). At this location, they have self-ordering kiosk and person-to-person ordering (if you plan on using a GC or Cash). The worker is hard-working and polite! I like how she personalizes the lid of my drink with a little bunny every time I visit! The location is clean with several tables. They use to have a booth seating section, but it's been closed since covid. It's a great spot to sit down and get some work done, as it's never too loud despite the large amount of foot traffic. A 10/10 boba spot!

Au79 has been around for more than a decade. I remember in high school so many students would have g around here and it would be a place to chill and have a great time. We went on a Sunday evening (sun was still bright as ever) and ordered matcha milk tea (Splenda instead of sugar) and Hokkaido royal milk tea (regular sweet) and large popcorn chicken. They brought our order to us which I greatly appreciated and I am so happy they can modify sweetness with Splenda, not many places will do that for milk tea! They also drew a cute bunny on the lid of the drinks which made it cuter. Popcorn chicken was super hot and fresh and crispy. It didn't have any of the basil leaves like most places do, but I didn't ask for any spice and only salt and pepper, still very very good. Also it was a huge portion. Plenty of seating outdoors and limited seating indoors. It seems that the bathroom is for employees only but I t got clarification that you just need to let the staff know before using it!

Au is one of my to go boba places whenever I'm craving boba. I've been to this location many times since college. There are tables outside in front of the store which is great for those late night hangouts. I always get the same drinks there and the consistency is the same. My go to drinks are the oolong milk tea and passion fruit green tea. Don't forget to add the pink boba, it's aesthetically cute and it's chewy. I also forget to mention, they also sell snacks as well. A perfect hangout spot with boba and food.
